Chicago (March 16, 2011) -- U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Regional Administrator Susan Hedman and representatives from environmental groups and health organizations will hold a media availability session and photo opportunity at 2 p.m. today at Burnham Park and Harbor (on the north side of the museum campus between the Shedd Aquarium and the Adler Planetarium) to highlight the benefits of the proposed first-ever national standards for mercury, arsenic and other toxic air pollution from power plants.

Representatives from the American Lung Association in Illinois - Greater Chicago, Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago, the Environmental Law and Policy Center, the Sierra Club, Alivio Medical Centers and University of Illinois-Chicago will participate.
