EPA Adds Parkview Well Site, Grand Island, Nebraska, to Superfund Priorities List

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Kansas City, Kan., April 18, 2006) – EPA has added the Parkview Well Superfund Site, Grand Island, Neb., to the National Priorities List of hazardous waste sites. EPA has determined the site warrants further response actions.

The site is being added to the National Priorities List because hazardous substances have been released into the environment and have impacted the drinking water supply.

Sites on the list become eligible for extensive, long-term cleanup actions and related funding under the Superfund Program. EPA will publish the rule in the Federal Register April 19, 2006.
