(Chicago, Ill. - Feb. 25, 2008) U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5 will brief media on a just-announced long-term cleanup plan for Evansville, Ind.'s, Jacobsville Neighborhood Superfund site, Tuesday, Feb. 26, 10 a.m. at the C.K. Newsome Center, 100 E. Walnut St. A proposed plan was presented to Evansville officials and residents in early 2007.

Representatives from Indiana Department of Environmental Management, health agencies, and the city of Evansville will also be on hand.

An update on a short-term cleanup effort involving about 50 properties with high levels of lead-contaminated soil will be included in the briefing.
