TRAINING AVAILABLE FOR NEW INDUSTRIES SUBJECT TO
EPA’S TOXIC RELEASE INVENTORY PROGRAM


EPA’s Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics has scheduled a series of 2-day training courses to help industries subject to the reporting requirements of the Toxic Release Inventory for the first time, starting in January 1998. The courses are specifically tailored to meet the needs of seven new industry groups that became subject to the TRI program earlier this year, including: metal mining, coal mining, electric utilities, commercial hazardous waste treatment, solvent recovery services, chemicals and allied products wholesale and petroleum bulk terminals and plants. Registration for the training courses is on a first-come basis and can be made by contacting EPA’s Emergency Planning and Community Response Act Hotline at (800) 535-0202. Oct. 7- 8 Philadelphia, Pa. Nov. 4 - 5 Kansas City, Kan.
Oct. 15 - 16 Atlanta, Ga. Nov. 12 - 13 New York, N.Y.
Oct. 21 - 22 Dallas, Texas Nov. 18 - 19 Chicago, Ill.
Oct. 28 - 29 San Francisco, Calif.
