Statement of EPA Acting Regional Administrator Chuck Findley on District Judge Luster’s Striking Down of the TMDL Developed for the South Fork of the Coeur d `Alene River:
“We’re disappointed in the Judge’s ruling, but we’ve noted that he did not challenge the science behind these cooperatively developed pollution limits for the South Fork Coeur d `Alene River.
“The state and EPA are studying the Judge’s procedure-based decision to determine appropriate next steps.”
