Administrator Whitman to Speak at the 2003 National Conference on Asthma - Meeting the challenge of healthy people 2010; preventing and controlling asthma

(06/18/03) EPA Administrator Christie Whitman will be speaking on the leadership and commitment of the Federal Government to help combat asthma at the 2003 National Conference on Asthma. EPA is co-sponsoring this conference along with the National Asthma Education and Prevention Program (NAEPP), the national coordinating body on asthma which includes Federal and non-profit organizations. NAEPP is Chaired by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, within Health and Human Services.

      WHAT: To address the 2003 National Conference on Asthma. The four main goals of Asthma 2003 are to: promote asthma awareness, diagnose and manage asthma, implement community asthma programs and policies, and prevent recurrent exacerbations of asthma
