WHAT: Public hearing on well permit for Beeland Group.

WHEN: Monday, Jan. 10. Informational meeting will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Public hearing will follow at 7 p.m.

WHERE: Petoskey Middle School, 801 Northmen Drive, Petoskey, Mich. Please note the location for this meeting changed from the previous announcement on December 10, 2010.

BACKGROUND: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5 will accept public comments on its proposed approval of Beeland Group's application for a permit to construct and operate a $2 million waste injection well near Petoskey in Emmett County.

Comments must be submitted by Jan. 31, 2011, and addressed to William Bates, Water Division (WU-16J), EPA Region 5, 77 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL 60604-3590 or bates.william@epa.gov.
