Acting EPA Administrator Linda Fisher Gives Plenary Speech at 2003 Conference of the American Council of Renewable Energy

(07/08/03) EPA Acting Administrator Linda Fisher will acknowledge U.S. companies for their commitment to green power through EPA's Green Power Partnership, a new EPA voluntary program working to standardize green power procurement as part of best-practice environmental management. Fisher will deliver remarks at the 2003 conference of the American Council for Renewable Energy (ACRE) held in Washington, D.C. on July 9 at 8:30 a.m.

Background: EPA’s participation in this event highlights the success of the Administration’s voluntary pollution prevention efforts – from ENERGY STAR to the new Green Power Partnership. This is the second annual ACRE conference which is a newly-formed non-profit organization with a mission is to bring renewable energy into the mainstream of the America’s economy by creating an annual leadership forum that spans the renewable energy sector.
