OHIO MAN CHARGED WITH CLEAN WATER ACT VIOLATION

Samuel Pisano of Huron, Ohio, was charged on Jan.31 with violating the Clean Water Act by allegedly making false monthly operating reports to the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency from the wastewater treatment plant at the Erie Island Resort. If convicted, Pisano faces a maximum sentence of up to two years in prison and or a $250,000 fine. The bringing of federal charges is only an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty in a court of law.
