HISPANIC UNIVERSITY FACULTY TO WORK
WITH EPA RESEARCH SCIENTISTS


On Oct. 18, the EPA Office of Research and Development will join with the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) to establish a faculty exchange program. Dr. Norine Noonan, EPA Assistant Administrator for Research and Development and Dr. Antonio R. Flores, President of HACU will sign a cooperative agreement which provides $277,000 to HACU to enhance research and teaching skills of participating faculty members and to promote mutual understand of environmental science and technology issues. Ten faculty members will be selected competitively among applicants from over 200 Hispanic Serving Institutions. They will work one-on-one with EPA scientists and engineers at one of the agency’s three national research laboratories. The signing ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. I Room 42213 in the Ronald Reagan Building, l300 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W. Washington, D.C.
