Representatives from EPA, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management, the Huntsville Housing Authority, Alagasco and the Alabama Department of Health will be available to provide information and answer questions about upcoming activities at the site. In 1902, after an asset transfer to the Huntsville Gas Company (HGC), the facility continued to operate using the same process. After a series of mergers, HGC became the Alabama Gas Corporation, commonly known as Alagasco. The Huntsville MGP was in operation from approximately 1872 to 1946.

Community members interested in obtaining additional information are encouraged to contact Sherryl A. Carbonaro, EPA Community Involvement Coordinator, at (678) 575-7355.
