MICHAEL SHAPIRO NAMED DEPUTY ASSISTANT ADMINISTRATOR
Michael H. Shapiro has been named Principle Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response. He has been acting in this position since February 1997. Prior to that Shapiro was the Director of the Office of Solid Waste, where he served since November 1993. Elizabeth Cotsworth has been named the Director of the Office of Solid Waste (OSW). She has been Acting Director of OSW since February 1997 and prior that served as the Deputy Director of OSW since November 1994.
