EPA Booth Planned for NAFB Trade Talk Event

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Kansas City, Kan., Nov. 8, 2007) - EPA officials will attend the annual National Association of Farm Broadcasting Trade Talk event in Kansas City Thursday, Nov. 15. Attendees will be available for news interviews in Booth 70.

Interview topics include national and regional updates on concentrated animal feeding operations, biofuels, pesticides, preventing anhydrous ammonia accidents, partnerships with agriculture stakeholders, and air and water issues.

WHAT: National Association of Farm Broadcasting Convention

WHEN: Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

WHO: EPA officials from Washington, D.C., and Kansas City, Kan.:
  • 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.: Jon Scholl, counselor to the EPA administrator, John B. Askew, Region 7 administrator, and Kris Lancaster, public affairs specialist
  • 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Karen Flournoy, associate regional administrator for agriculture and environmental priorities, and Alan Banwart, environmental protection specialist
