City of Parson Water Treatment Plant in Tennessee Wins 2004 Safe Drinking Water Act Excellence Award

On Thursday, June 24, 2004, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will award the City of Parsons Water Treatment Plant with the 2004 Safe Drinking Water Act Excellence Award for the Medium Surface Water System category. The goals of the Excellence Award are to recognize and award water systems that are demonstrating their commitment to compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act through outstanding operations and maintenance practices; to heighten overall public awareness of the contributions of public water supplies for ensuring adequate and safe drinking water; and to encourage public support for maintaining this exemplary status.
