MTBE BLUE-RIBBON PANEL PRESENTS
FINAL RECOMMENDATIONS


On Tuesday, July 27, 1999, members of the blue-ribbon panel on MTBE in gasoline, chaired by Dr. Daniel Greenbaum of the Health Effects Institute of Cambridge, MA, will make their final recommendations public and participate in a press availability.

Last November, Administrator Browner established the panel, composed of leading experts from the public health and scientific communities, automotive fuels industry, water utilities and local and State government to review concerns that have been raised about MTBE and contamination of water sources.
