NU Lincoln scholar to speak on Lincoln and leadership Jan. 27

CHICAGO (Jan. 14, 2009).-- Lincoln scholar Kate Masur will speak about "Lincoln and Leadership" at a Federal Executive Board forum on Jan. 27. The talk will provide a glimpse into the life and presidency of Abraham Lincoln and lessons for those in government today in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of Lincoln's birth. Dr. Masur is an assistant professor of history at Northwestern University and a recipient of a National Endowment for the Humanities Faculty Fellowship.

The presentation is part of the Chicago Federal Leadership Forum series and will take place at the Metcalfe Federal Building, Room 331, 77 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The program is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The cost is $75 and includes a continental breakfast.
