GET ENERGY EFFICIENCY AWARDS FROM EPA


Walt Disney World Co., McDonald’s, IBM Corporation and 22 other organizations will get awards from EPA and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) on March 24 for their voluntary leadership in reducing wasteful energy use and preventing pollution in smart, cost-effective ways. As part of the Energy Star 1998 Awards Ceremony, EPA’s Atmospheric Pollution Prevention Division will recognize achievement in supporting five of the U.S. government’s Energy Star programs: Buildings and Green Lights Partnership; Homes; Office Equipment; Exit Signs, and Appliances. The Energy Star label identifies the most energy-efficient products available to consumers, making it easy for them to choose equipment that will save money and help reduce pollution.
