PRESS ADVISORY: EPA To Designate Three Bays Area in Barnstable a "No-Discharge Zone

BOSTON – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will hold a press conference at 11 a.m. tomorrow, July 18, to announce the designation of the Three Bays area in Barnstable as a "no-discharge zone," where boaters are prohibited from discharging sewage.

The event will take place at the Cotuit Town Dock in Barnstable.

Speakers at the event will include Linda Murphy of the EPA's New England office, Susan Snow-Cotter of the Massachusetts Coastal Zone Management office, and Barnstable town officials.
