EPA TO HOLD PUBLIC AVAILABILITY SESSION REGARDING THE BENFIELD INDUSTRIES SUPERFUND SITE IN WAYNESVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will hold a public availability session regarding the Benfield Industries Superfund site in Waynesville, North Carolina on Thursday, April 6, 2000. The availability session will be held from 3:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in the meeting hall at the Waynesville Town Hall Hazelwood Annex, 280 Georgia Avenue in Waynesville. EPA officials will be available to provide information, answer questions, and address concerns regarding the resumption of soil cleanup activities in April, completion of soil treatment, and treatment of contaminated groundwater. All interested persons are encouraged to attend.
