EPA and JCDH Announce Availability of North Birmingham, AL Air Quality Information at Four Locations

ATLANTA - Today, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Jefferson County Department of Health (JCDH) announced the availability of answers to questions from the August 1, 2011, community meeting at the Hudson K-8 School in Birmingham, Ala.

The meeting was held to present information to the community on a new air quality monitoring project, and the results of completed air quality monitoring studies in the North Birmingham area. Due to time constraints, a number of questions could not be answered that evening, but were recorded to allow a later response.

The answers, as well as other air quality information, will be available at community information centers in North Birmingham and on the internet:

The information centers and web sites are being established to support community involvement and awareness concerning air quality issues and studies in the area, and will be updated periodically with additional information concerning North Birmingham air quality issues.
