EPA Event Lauds Environmentally Sensitive Development in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Vermont, Illinois, Kansas

WHAT: EPA honors successes in promoting and achieving smart growth practices resulting in urban renewal and other environmentally sensitive development.

The development practices used by these communities preserve open space and parkland, protect critical habitat; improve transportation choices to reduce emissions from automobiles; promote brownfield waste site redevelopment; and reduce polluted water run-off.
