U.S. EPA, City of Houston to announce new solar-powered air monitoring station

DALLAS –  On Thursday, June 15, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) will unveil the nation’s eighth Village Green Station at the John P. McGovern Museum of Health & Medical Science, 1515 Hermann Drive, Houston, TX 77004.

The Village Green Project is a community-based activity to demonstrate the capabilities of real-time monitoring technology for residents and citizen scientists to learn about local air quality. The goal of the project is to provide the public and communities with new information about their local air quality and engage communities in air pollution awareness.
