WASHINGTON - On Friday, April 10, EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy will give the headline interview on the economic need for acting on climate change at The New Republic's conference, "The Next Frontier of Climate Change: State and Local Action in Chicago." Administrator McCarthy will speak about the cost of inaction and how we can turn climate challenges into opportunities to modernize our power sector, lay the foundation for a low-carbon economy, and fuel growth for decades to come. A world-leading economy depends on a healthy environment and a safe climate, which is why EPA is working to implement President Obama's Climate Action Plan to build more resilient communities and curb the carbon pollution fueling climate change. This event will be live streamed by The New Republic here.
