Carol C. House

Deputy Administrator for Programs and Products, National Agricultural Statistics Service
U.S. Department of Agriculture, Washington, DC

The National Agricultural Statistics Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture produces over 500 national statistical reports per year and over 9000 state reports. This paper describes the cooperative structure and distribution of workload that allows national level inferences and consistency from data collected at the state level. The presentation also provides an overview of several surveys and data products of particular interest to EPA.
