Knitting Together the Coastal Tapestry with Regional Observing Systems

A quick review and observations on how the federal agencies can, working closely together with the academic, profit and not-for profit sectors, provide the leadership for a truly comprehensive and collaborative coastal observing capability to deliver data and products on national, regional and sub regional scales. Tying up the multitude of loose threads currently representing individual and institutional efforts is both the greatest opportunity and challenge before us.
