MIDWEST OAK ECOSYSTEMS RECOVERY PLAN

DRAFT - September 1994

APPENDIX C

GEOGRAPHIC AFFINITIES OF STATE-LISTED SAVANNA PLANT SPECIES

Compiled by Noel Pavlovic

Table 1: COASTAL PLAIN FLORA CONFINED TO WET MEADOWS IN SAVANNA COMPLEX

Table 2: GEOGRAPHIC AFFINITIES OF MIDWEST SAVANNA STATE LISTED SPECIES

Each table has the states ordered differently such that the states closest to the presumed sources are to the left. Bolded state listing codes or presence (+) codes indicate which states have the species in savanna habitats. The state codes are EX=presumed extirpated, E=endangered, T=threatened, R=rare, SC=special concern, SU=status unknown, and WL=watch list. Federal listing codes are given after the species name: C2=category 2, C3=category 3. Range limits were identified from primarily Gleason and Cronquist (1990) and were then used to construct each regional table.
