Comments Received on the Title VI Draft Guidance Documents

EPA received a number of public comments after the June, 2000 Federal Register publication of two draft guidance documents, the Draft Title VI Guidance for EPA Assistance Recipients Administering Environmental Permitting Programs ("Draft Recipient Guidance") and the Revised Draft Guidance for Investigating Title VI Administrative Complaints Challenging Permits ("Draft Revised Investigation Guidance"). Transcripts are being prepared from the seven public listening sessions conducted in July and August as well. All comments will be reviewed by EPA and considered during the finalization of the documents.

The comments included submissions via electronic mail as well as fax and hard copy. The following tables list commentors and the size of the associated Adobe Acrobat format (pdf) files which may be viewed or downloaded. Where electronic versions were sent, these were used in preference to scanning a hard copy in order to minimize file sizes, but these may omit some items such as letterhead graphics and signatures which were included in the hard copies. The first table includes files received with a postmark date by the deadline for public comments, August 28, 2000. Several additional comments were received after this date, and are listed in the second table on this page.
