General Calculator Concept

The calculators were designed from the following concept

Client-side (i.e., running on the User's Machine) applications
Minimal down loading time

The calculators were implemented in JavaScript which is constrained by

Very limited access to the User's hard disk for storage, and
Limited graphics capability

Limited storage of data is performed by using JavaScript "cookies" to store inputs temporarily, and to transfer information from one calculator to another.

Button reference

Button	Function
	Pastes an example data set into the calculator and calculates the result.
	Forces the calculation of the result. The calculator also returns the result when data is entered and the mouse is clicked outside the data entry box.
	Erases the data from the calculator
	Saves the current data to the user's cookie file. All use of Cookies eliminated 2-9-2001 removed tag -->
	Recalls data from the user's cookie file. All use of Cookies eliminated 2-9-2001 removed tag -->
	Pastes the current date into the calculator.
	Returns to the page visited prior to the calculator.
