PAMS Sampling
•The goal of the PAMS network is to help assess ozone control programs by
–identifying key constituents
and parameters;
–tracking trends;
–characterizing transport;
–assisting in forecasting
episodes; and
–assisting in improving
emission inventories.
•Toxic VOCs sampled by
the PAMS network include
benzene, formaldehyde,
xylenes, toluene, ethylbenzene, styrene, and acetaldehyde.
•PAMS sites make subdaily measurements at the same sites that are useful in assessing diurnal trends.
