Animal Feeding Operations - 2012 Monitored AFOs
North Carolina 4A and 4B, Duplin County
North Carolina 4A is a sow gestation, farrowing and breeding facility in Duplin County, NC. A waste lagoon on the site was monitored for hydrogen sulfide and ammonia. Two gestation barns and one farrowing room were monitored for particulate matter (PM10, total suspended particulates and PM2.5), volatile organic compounds, hydrogen sulfide, and ammonia. Weather information and information about site conditions also was recorded.
