Mr. White is an Environmental Scientist in GWERD's Ecosystem and Subsurface Protection Branch. He holds a B.S. in Biology from East Central University. Before coming to EPA, he worked as an inorganic chemist for ManTech Environmental Research Services Corporation and the University of Oklahoma.

For the past several years, he has analyzed trace levels of compounds in aqueous and solid fractions of subsurface material. More specifically, he has developed analytical methods, written standard operating procedures, and operated a wide range of analytical instrumentation including Ion Capillary Electrophoresis, Ion Chromatography, UV/Vis Spectroscopy, and Flow Injection Analysis equipment.

Mr. White is now involved in a new research project on the effect of confined animal feeding operations on groundwater quality. He has been developing methods to extract and quantify low levels of antibiotics from environmental samples.
