Ken Jewell
Mr. Jewell is an Environmental Scientist in GWERD's Technical and Administrative Support Staff. He holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. Previously, he managed the extraction lab and worked as a field chemist for ManTech Environmental Research Services Corporation.
Mr. Jewell is currently conducting research on the natural attenuation of methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE). He is also involved in the Assimilative Capacity in Support of Risk-Based Ecosystem Management/Restoration Practices project at Lake Texoma, a lake shared by Texas and Oklahoma. Mr. Jewell's involvement on this project is the implementation and compliance of monitoring wells and field sampling/analysis. He has been conducting research on MTBE and tertiary butyl alcohol via headspace analysis and solid-phase microextraction
