EPA Goal 1: Climate Change and Improving Air Quality |
Purpose
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA's) dynamical climate models
attempt to forecast the atmosphere. NOAA maintains and funds many climate modeling centers.

Climate Protection Program:
This program includes voluntary domestic and international programs that address greenhouse gases
(GHG) and climate change issues. Efforts are aimed at reducing emissions of greenhouse gases
and mitigating the effects of global climate change on the environment and human health while
growing the economy. In addition, this program provides technical assistance and online reporting
tools for regulated facilities to report annual greenhouse gas emissions in support of
the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program.
