Native Wetlands Plants

A wetland is an area at least periodically covered with water. Wetlands have distinctive "hydric" soils and plant species which are adapted for saturated soil conditions. Wetland ecosystems support a variety of species. They also filter and retain water, purifying the water and reducing the potential for flooding in many areas. Many of these wetland plants would thrive in the wet areas of your landscape.
