SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY PANEL MEETS SEPT. 26-29
ABOUT FOOD QUALITY PROTECTION ACT
The Scientific Advisory Panel (SAP) will meet September 26-29 to review a set of issues pertaining to the implementation of the Food Quality Protection Act. The topics for review include: test guidelines for chronic inhalation toxicity and carcinogenicity of fibrous particles; cumulative hazard assessment of organophosphate pesticides; components and methodologies of the tools for dietary and residential pesticide exposure and risk assessments; and assessment of pesticide concentrations in drinking water and water treatment effects on pesticide removal and transformation. The meeting is open to the public and will be held at the Sheraton Crystal City Hotel, 1800 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, Va.
